Why Australia's Mining Sector

One of the world's highest-paying industries is actively seeking workers. We've spent 30 years building the connections to get you there.

The Opportunity Is Real — And It's Right Now

Australia's mining sector is one of the highest-paying and most critical pillars of the national economy, employing roughly 310,000 workers across regional hubs and corporate offices. Driven by global demand for critical minerals, iron ore, and gold, the sector is facing prolonged labour shortages.

The average salary for a general mine worker ranges from $145,000 to $155,000 per year — and this demand makes the sector highly accessible for both entry-level workers and seasoned professionals.

Our law firm has over 30 years of experience in immigration through work in Australia, and we recruit directly for 17 of the largest mining companies in the country.

Entry-level roles require minimal to no prior site experience. The sector prioritises reliability, a strong safety focus, and teamwork — not extensive résumés.

Entry-Level Roles Available

Positions include Driller's Offsiders, Nippers (underground support), and Utility Workers in camp cleaning and catering. No extensive experience required.

FIFO / DIDO Work Schedules

Workers travel to remote locations and live in fully serviced company camps. Common schedules include "8 days on, 6 days off" or "2 weeks on, 1 week off."

Residential Mining

Workers live locally in established regional mining cities such as Kalgoorlie (WA) or Singleton (NSW) and commute daily to the mine site.

White Card Certification

At minimum, candidates need a White Card — a general construction induction obtainable online in just 4–7 hours. We guide you through it.
